Young Philo Nathans, traveling with Sunds, Nathans & Co.’s American Circus attracts general admiration by his very spirited style of four-horse riding, (doing the quadrilateral) somersaults, (doing the topsy-turvy,) etc. While lately performing in Malone, N. Y. , Master Philo was voted by the folks there as flying a leetle [sic] higher than any similar performer thay had ever seen. Some people claim for him the title of “The Star Rider of America.” Titles which fly low are the safest for rising with.
