AMUSEMENTS.

ROSE AND HARRY WATKINS’ DRAMATIC COMPANY.

The first appearance of this first-class dramatic troupe at City hall last night, was far superior to any performance in this city for years, and one of the finest audiences ever assembled in this city greeted the company.

The play last evening was “Kathleen Mavourneen; or, Under the Spell. Kathleen Mavourneen was represented by Rose Watkins, whose delineations were perfect and faultless, as Terence O’Moore’s betrothed and as the wife of C.J. Cavanaugh.

Harry Watkins, who played the part of Terence O’Moore, needs no commendation from us.

The performance this evening, at which the play of “Trodden Down” will be presented, is a piece of rare merit, and we have no doubt our citizens will attest the fact by their attendance.
